Welcome to the first newsletter for the delegates who have registered to take part in the 1-2-1 partnering meetings at next month's Partners 4 Life Science 2010 event, which will be held in the Institute of Life Science at Swansea University on the 12th of May.

Over the last few weeks a number of companies and organisations like yourself have registered for the 1-2-1 partnering meetings and prepared a collaboration 'profile'. These profiles are now viewable via the partnering event mini website www.partners4lifescience.co.uk and include a wide variety of technology offers, technology requests and offeres of specialist know how / expertise.

To start picking your meetings please click the 'Registered Participants click here' button on the partnering website www.partners4lifescience.co.uk Enter your e-mail and password you used when you submitted your partnering profile. This will take you to a page with 6 options. Please select 'Option 3' which will take you to a 'List of Participants' page where you will be able to search the database of all the other delegate organisations that have registered for the 1-2-1 meetings. To register your request to have a meeting with a particular delegate, please tick the box marked 'I would like to meet this delegate' which you will find at the top and bottom of each relegates 'profile' page.

To change your profile please select Option 4 to 'update your profile'. Remember to check that your contact details are correct and then review what you have written in Section 3. Please provide as much information about who you are, what you do and what technology offers or requests or types of future collaboration you are looking for or could offer to the other delegates. This information is very important as it is what the other delegates will read about you and so determine if they will select to have a 1-2-1 meeting with you ! Then check Section 4 of your profile and make sure that all ticks are in the right boxes. Don't forget to click on the 'update registration' box at the bottom left of the form. Your profile will now be placed in a verification section of the website and will need to be re confirmed by the event organisers. This should take no more than 30 mins during working hours - but slightly longer at other times. Please call 0191 415 7340 if you need any help or would like the profile verified immediately.

Please remember to make sure that you have said enough in your collaboration profile to make it sound interesting and attractive to the other delegates. If you don't you could end up with no meetings which would be a shame and a lost opportunity for you and your business.
